What is ‘ethical’? The word ‘ethical’ and ‘ethics’ is applied in different ways by different people, for different purposes.
On ETIC, Ethical Trade refers to a socially responsible way of trading with cultural handicrafts, art and craft products that gives opportunity to mainly individuals, smaller businesses, organizations who are concerned about different things while doing their activity, but who all see special value and significance behind these products; preserving craft traditions, following ethical and fair philosophy in trade, providing background information on products’ origin, the culture and people who produced them, and therefore attaching personal value to products.
Trade on ETIC will provide a growing directory of ethical and fair traders’ sites, dealing with cultural handicrafts, art and craft products. We hope to become the first global platform for ethical trade with cultural handicrafts around the world that will make easier for costumers to search for particular products and find the specific website that sells them, as well as to provide background information.

Fair Trade has been around for a while and has introduced a very new concept to economy;

Why ETIC is ethical? Ethical Trade & Info Community follows its own Ethical Policy that very much related to Fair Trade but in the same time gives opportunity and trust to those individuals, smaller businesses, organizations who cannot afford an official certificate.
ETIC believes in people and an ethical way business can operate without institutionalized restrictions, especially if it is about the LIFES of these people. Traders, crafters, artists, suppliers who are making their daily living from their activity, concerned about values of individual pieces, cultural uniqueness and want to offer something valuable to the world. Non-profit and low profit organizations, ethical businesses concerned about different things, choose a different new path to make a positive change in our world.
The business world, its philosophy, concern and aim have been changing in the recent past, as the world has been changing as well. More and more of us starting to realize we have one planet, a life to give value to, create instead of destroy, share instead of exploit…
